Two long term care facilities in Nipissing District are applying for more beds. One of them is Casselholme in North Bay which wants to add 16 beds to its current total of 240. Nipissing MPP Vic Fedeli is hoping for a quick response from the Ministry of Health because he says by now these projects should be in the imminent stage. The other facility is Lady Isabel in Trout Creek which is looking to re-open with 96 beds. The government shutdown the former facility, which had 66 beds, earlier for a variety of reasons.
