The ongoing drop in oil has one North Bay councillor thinking the price of asphalt should also be coming down. George Maroosis says asphalt contains a lot of oil so it makes sense that if oil is dropping so should the cost of asphalt. City staff couldn’t answer his question so council will discuss this at a committee meeting. The price of a barrel of oil is down more than a third from a summer high of more than $100 dollars.
