That long winter is coming back to haunt North Bay city council. Figures show that the city overshot its snow removal budget by $1 million. There are still three weeks left in this year’s budget and so far the community hasn’t received too much snow. If the trend continues, the city might be able to reduce the snow removal deficit before the next budget year kicks in January 1st. Overall, the city is showing a deficit of $2.4 million. Businesses and people winning tax appeals is the second big reason for the deficit.
