Doberman faces uncertain future after alleged biting claim

A North Bay man is using Facebook to stop the local health unit from putting down a Doberman.  Tony Loeffen says contrary to what a man claims, Dunaj, the Doberman did not bite him.  Loeffen says a drunk kicked Dunaj on the head and the dog barked.  Later the drunk claimed Dunaj bit him and the dog was hauled away.  Loeffen is appalled that the health unit won’t listen to his side of the story and is concerned that a dog that did nothing wrong will be put down.  He’s helping the dog’s owner reverse the euthanasia route the health unit wants to pursue.   Further to the Dunaj story, a handful of people held a silent vigil at City council Monday night.  Throughout the meeting they held up cards with the Doberman’s picture on it saying “Save Dunaj”.
