Giroux named Nipissing NDP candidate

Local worker’s rights advocate Henri Giroux has been named the candidate for the June 7th provincial election by the Nipissing NDP riding association, Thursday.

Giroux says he is thrilled to be joining party leader Andrea Horwath’s NDP team.

Giroux was the president of the North Bay and District Labour Council for 11 years, advocating for improved working conditions for Nipissing residents.

He says his focus will be on skyrocketing hydro bills, cuts to our hospital, and job losses.

Incumbent Vic Fedeli will run for the Ontario PC party, Trevor Holliday is the leader of the Northern  Ontario Party and candidate for Nipissing, and Bond Keevil is the candidate for the Ontario Libertarian Party.
