Police have charged a 28-year-old North Bay male with one count of assault and one count of possession of a weapon used in the commission of an offence.
Last Friday afternoon, the North Bay Police Service responded to a call outside of a Lakeshore Drive business.
It is alleged that the accused was holding a knife when he confronted a male known to him. A physical altercation occurred between the accused and the victim. The accused left the scene and was arrested a short distance away by police. The knife was seized from the accused.
No injuries occurred as a result of the altercation.
In the interest of protecting the identity of the victim, the North Bay Police Service will not be releasing the name of the accused.
The accused has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
