Stephen Glass will run in Nipissing as the provincial Liberal candidate

Stephen Glass, a local businessman with a lifelong involvement in services for children and the disabled, is the Liberal candidate for Nipissing in the provincial general election on June 7.

Glass owns and manages Wendigo Lake Expeditions Inc., operator of Project D.A.R.E., one of the world’s oldest continuously operating adventure therapy programs for youth, located near Trout Creek.

Glass says the people of Nipissing have not forgotten the wise investments made by recent Liberal governments in their riding. These include the completion of the four-lane highway to North Bay, the new hospitals in Mattawa and North Bay, the Nurse Practitioners’ clinic, One Kids’ Place, the new library at Nipissing University and Canadore College, housing for people with disabilities and the new Hands and Public Health buildings. Glass says that there is much more to do and he is looking forward to being part of it.

Glass says he intends to run a positive campaign and is looking forward to meeting and listening to voters throughout the riding, and with their support, representing their views at Queen’s Park.

Glass secured the nomination at a Liberal riding association meeting, yesterday. He joins Ontario PC incumbent Vic Fedeli, Henri Giroux of the NDP, Trevor Holliday of the Northern Ontario Party, and Bond Keevil of the Ontario Libertarian Party as candidates for MPP in the Nipissing riding.
