The warning comes from North Bay Fire and Emergency Services just days before the Victoria Day long weekend.
Open burning is banned until further notice.
Deputy Chief Greg Saunders says in a release that effective immediately, a complete fire ban is in effect for the Municipality of North Bay.
This means no fireworks, no recreational open burning and no incinerators.
Fires for cooking or warmth are also banned.
Saunders warns that anyone found in contravention of the burning ban will likely be charged.
