Colton Point meet-and-greet Saturday

North Bay’s Colton Point is back home after a memorable hockey season and he wants to share some of his success with North Bay this weekend.

Point captured gold with Team Canada at the World Junior Hockey Championships in January.

The NCAA Colgate Raiders All-American goaltender will be signing autographs and posing for photos in the main foyer at Chippewa Secondary School at 2:00pm on Saturday afternoon and Point is bringing his Team Canada goalie equipment and World Junior gold medal with him.

There is no charge to attend, but fans are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item which will be donated to the North Bay Food Bank.

“I think that it’s important to reconnect with the North Bay community now that I’m home and having this meet and greet will also help by providing food to the North Bay Food Bank,” said Point, who was drafted in the fifth round by the Dallas Stars in 2016.

“I hope I can make a positive impact and give back to North Bay because this city has always been good to me,” says Point.
