Elections Ontario is still looking for people to work on election day in the Nipissing riding.
There are various positions available and they all are paid positions. Training for polling officials will take place today in preparation for tomorrow’s vote.
Some of the positions will be standby spots, which means that the individuals will only be called if required to fill spots that have come open. Standby positions are guaranteed four hours pay. Some regular shifts on election day can run for several hours, often as many as 10.
Your own transportation is a must and bilingualism is an asset, but not necessary.
Apply in person at the Nipissing Returning Office, located at 300 Lakeshore Drive. The office is located in the former TD Bank at the North Bay Mall.
