No ‘personality issue’ with Forgette says King

A response from Mark King, Chair of DNSSAB regarding claims from Sheldon Forgette that the Deputy Mayor has been improperly removed from his position with the board.

The release from the board states that the removal of a member from the board for missing three consecutive board meetings is a directive of legislation under the DSSAB Act.

King stresses this is not a personality issue between him and Forgette, as reported in some media and by Forgette himself, but rather legislation being triggered when it comes to absences.

Forgette made a media release Monday in which he says he participated in at least one of three meetings that he had been marked absent for via teleconferencing.

Current records show three consecutive board meeting absences and no information from Forgette that disputes these records, according to the release.

The board finishes its statement by saying that it will not comment further on the matter.
