Anthony says his number one reason to run again is that he believes in the community and its people with a passion. The veteran councillor adds he works for the public, not for City Hall. Anthony launched www.VoteMikeAnthony.com for voters to explore and says his campaign is built around a wide-ranging 10-point platform, outlined on that new website. Anthony joins Rene Giroux, Jo Brousseau and Dave Mendicino as candidates who have filed nomination papers for the October election. Anthony prides himself on his approachability and believes customer service to the public is an essential part of the role. He says he always tries to return correspondence within 24 hours. The incumbent councillor also says he wants to help create a climate in North Bay that will create jobs, adding that he is a backer of small businesses who believes in the power of the private sector.
