A retired nurse in Ontario’s far north is being honoured by the Local Health Integration Network. Minnie Jeffries who practiced for more than 40 years in the James Bay region has been named a Health Change Champion by the LHIN. Jeffries was a diabetes educator before retiring this past fall. The LHIN looks for health-care providers who make a difference in their field and Jeffries foots the bill. If you want to nominate someone as a Health Change Champion let the LHIN know.
