Outdoor burning gets green light by city council…

Outdoor recreational burning has gotten the green light by North Bay city council. Council voted in favor to change the city’s open-air burning bylaw on Monday, and want to get rid of restrictions that ban outdoor fires in urban areas. People who get a permit and meet the right criteria will be able to burn in a chimnea once a new bylaw is developed. Monday’s vote gives Fire Chief Grant Love the approval to create the new bylaw. The fire department may charge 50 bucks for recreational permits, and 100 for open air burning permits in the rural part of the city.
