The North Bay Police Service is reporting a 31-year-old North Bay woman has been charged with two counts of assault with a weapon following an incident last evening.
Officers were called to the Fraser Street area regarding a woman with a knife. Police say early last evening, the accused approached two people as they were walking their infant child in the 300 block of Fraser Street. The accused started a verbal argument and then revealed a knife and made gestures, causing the victims to fear for their safety.
No one was injured during the incident.
The accused then left the scene and police were contacted. The accused was located a few blocks away, where she was arrested. She was later released and will appear in court North Bay on July 31.
