NECO, a business non-profit funded by FedNor has been crunching the numbers and recently gave members and guests an overview of their activities.
The Board of Directors of NECO Community Futures Development Corporation held their 30th annual general meeting and Chair Narry Paquette reported more than $1.7 million has been invested into 11 small business start-ups and 7 expansion projects this year.
These investments have led to the direct creation of 25 new jobs and the retention of 105 jobs in various communities in Nipissing East and East Parry Sound districts.
The AGM was held Thursday at NECO’s new offices located at 222 McIntyre Street West, Suite 312, North Bay.
