The Town of Temagami is on an evacuation alert due to the threat of several forest fires in their area.
The North Bay Fire Services are in contact with MNRF’s Fire Management Team and working within the Mutual Aid Agreements.
Locally the City of North Bay has activated its Emergency Management Plan to monitor the situation. At this time there is no immediate threat to the North Bay Area and there have been no requests for local resources with respect to supporting evacuation requirements.
The City of North Bay has initiated contact with local resources should there be a need to offer assistance in the event of a full-scale evacuation.
The City of North Bay will continue to monitor the situation and update as new information presents.
We are reminding everyone that the City of North Bay and the Province of Ontario have issued a fire ban for the area.
