Scott McLeod re-elected as Chief of NFN

Scott McLeod is back as Chief of Nipissing First Nation.

McLeod won with 509 votes.

The election results don’t include the margin of victory over his two rivals; Bob Commanda and Jeffery Stewart.

Back as Deputy Chief is Muriel Sawyer who had support from 505 voters.

Also back are Eric Stevens who picked up the second highest number of votes among councillors with 466 votes, June Commanda had 437 votes, 397 votes went to Corey Goulais and Brian Couchie was given 390 votes.

Residents also voted for two new councillors.

They are Mike Sawyer who had 385 votes and Jane B. Commanda who got on council with 344 votes.
