West Ferris and the North Bay Mall is gaining a tenant.
Treasure Hunt Canada is opening a new location at the south end shopping mall. According to a mall shopper, she learned the new Treasure Hunt will open in the former location of Urban Planet, and before that, Winners. The new store’s owner has signed a five-year lease. The North Bay Treasure Hunt location is scheduled to open this Friday at 9:30am.
Treasure Hunt currently has grown to 11 locations across Ontario. The chain’s Facebook page describes the store as offering “name brand merchandise at 30% to 80% off…Our inventory changes weekly, and sometimes daily, so there is always a great variety of merchandise to choose from. On each visit you’ll find name brand clothing, shoes, housewares, electronics, bed and bath linens and much more 30-80% off every day!”
The North Bay Mall has been proposed as a location for the construction of a new arena, so in the event that the bid is successful, the area would have to undergo a massive renovation, perhaps necessitating the relocation of some of the shops to accommodate the project.
