The North Bay-Mattawa Conservation Authority is reporting the sighting of a black bear sow with cubs in tow on Sunday.
The bears were spotted in the Laurentian Escarpment Conservation Area, east of Janey Avenue along the hydro corridor.
The NBMCA warns, if hiking or biking in this area, please be “bear wise.”
The NBMCA says a sign has been erected at the trailhead and will remain there for 72 hours advising those using the trails of the bear sighting.
