First period deficit dooms Voodoos in exhibition action

The Pembroke Lumber Kings built up a 3-0 first period lead en route to a 5-3 exhibition win over the visiting Powassan Voodoos in Pembroke last night.

Carson Lux, Cade Herd and Joe Whittet scored for the Voodoos in the loss while Ty Sparling made 43 saves in the loss.

The Voodoos are in action this Wednesday when they travel to Noelville to face the French River Rapids in a preseason tilt.

Powassan opens their regular season schedule at home versus the Rayside Balfour Canadians on Friday, September 7 at 7:00pm.
