An open house at Literacy Nipissing today will celebrate the organization’s 40th anniversary, 2,000 volunteers, 5,000 learners and 500,000 hours of learning.
The occasion also coincides with International Literacy Day which acknowledges the courage and resilience of all adult learners.
Literacy Nipissing invites all former learners and volunteers to stop by the office between 1:00pm and 3:00pm to join in as they remember the good work that has happened over the past 40 years.
The celebration is taking place in North Bay at 347 Sherbrooke Street, Suite 302.
