A North Bay man who is accused of assaulting three people along Main Street East is behind bars.
Police say the accused first got into an altercation with another man in the 200 block of Main and then assaulted two other men.
The other two were assaulted when they stepped in to stop the fight.
One of the men who intervened needed medical attention because he got hurt.

The incident took place on Monday.
Police arrested the accused, who is 32, a short time later without incident.
He’s charged with assault causing bodily harm and two counts of assault.
