Delayed penalty for hitting from behind

North Bay OPP is seeking information on a hit-and-run collision that took place at the intersection of the Highway 11/17 bypass and Trout Lake Road.

Officers responded to the two-vehicle collision at approximately 8:36am on Monday. Police say a northbound vehicle rear-ended another vehicle and left the scene. The vehicle is described as a beige/tan Honda Civic or Accord. The suspect vehicle was being driven by a middle-aged Caucasian woman wearing a shawl over her head. The car had a personalized Ontario license plate resembling “BEV B P” and would likely have damage to the front bumper and/or grill. The vehicle fled, continuing westbound on the bypass.

Being anonymous, you will not be required to testify in court and information you provide may lead to a cash reward of up to $2,000.
