Franco Nord board scores impressive graduation rates

Conseil scolaire catholique Franco Nord has again placed first in high school graduation rates for the region.

The board has a 96 percent score in the five year graduation rate and 93.3 percent score in the four year rate.

Both scores are high enough to place Franco Nord above the grad rates of the other boards in the immediate area.

Province-wide, Franco Nord’s five year graduation rate is tops among all 72 school boards while the four year rate is the second best in Ontario.

The Ministry of Education released the information which covers the 2016-17 school year.

The three Catholic high schools under Franco Nord  in the region that helped achieve the first place showings are Algonquin in North Bay, Franco-Cité in Sturgeon Falls and Élisabeth-Bruyère in Mattawa.
