A section of the Kinsmen Trail closed since Wednesday has been reopened, according to the North Bay – Mattawa Conservation Authority (NBMCA).
A water main break led to a build up of sediment in the underpass beneath the railroad tracks connecting the waterfront trail with Oak Street East (and the downtown core).
Sue Buckle of the NBMCA says the trail disruption might have extended into today but the crew on scene was able to complete clean up efforts by late Thursday, restoring service to the link in North Bay’s multipurpose trail system.
