A 28-year-old North Bay woman is looking at several charges including assault with a weapon after the host of a house party was slashed with a knife.
The man confronted his guest when he saw her take something and right after the accusation, the guest grabbed a knife and slashed her host.
The woman left the party while the man called North Bay Police.
Police found the guest a short distance from the house and arrested her.

In addition to the weapons-related offence, the woman is also charged with aggravated assault and theft under $5,000.
As for the victim, he was treated for a non-life-threatening injury.
