Photo credit: Nipissing-Parry Sound Catholic District School Board The Nipissing-Parry Sound Catholic District School Board has its new chair. She’s long-time trustee Judy Manitowabi who also serves as Chair of the Board’s First Nations Advisory Committee. Manitowabi was first elected to the Catholic board in 2003. Over the years she has served as vice-chair at varying times. Another long-time trustee is Barbara McCool who service to the board began in 1977. McCool is the Catholic board’s vice-chair after being acclaimed to the position. McCool was board chair from 2009 to this month prior to the new board being sworn in. Previously, she served as chair from 2002-04 and 1999-2000. The meeting began with an inaugural Mass which was overseen by Father Francis Ezenezi.
