Health was a high-paying sector during October in Nipissing District.
A report from the Labour Market Group shows of the top five hourly rated job postings, four were dominated by a vacancy in the health field.
Topping the list was Plan A Health Care Staffing Solutions which had a job posting for a registered nurse with a wage of $50 an hour.
Right behind was a position for a nurse practitioner at the North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit which paid $48.81.
Kingdom Construction had the third highest hourly wage of $39.28 for a construction electrician.
Hand The Family Help Network needed a disability consultant for which it was ready to pay $33.90 an hour and this was fourth on the top five list.
In fifth spot was an occupational therapist at One Kids Place which paid $33.85 an hour.
LMG says the health field also took the top three annual salaried positions and in this case all three positions were available at the Mattawa Hospital.
The hospital’s salary for a nurse practitioner is $108,494.
The health care facility has set aside an annual salary of $72,462 for a social worker which is second on the list while it will pay $71,720 for a registered dietitian.
