A 45-year-old man released on a condition he would stay away from a Powassan residence has since been arrested there.
On December 24, officers from the Powassan Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police responded to a complaint of a domestic disturbance.
Officers attended and began an investigation. The accused had been previously released on conditions not to communicate with the victim and to stay away from the residence. As a result, of the investigation officers located and arrested the Powassan man. He was charged with the following:
- Fail to Comply with Recognizance x3
- Assault
The accused was held for bail and will attend the Ontario Court of Justice in North Bay for a hearing.
