New charges in Kamerman murder case

A 31-year-old woman has been arrested and charged as part of the investigation into the December 5, 2018, homicide of Abraham Kamerman.

On December 20, 2018, Marina Lafontaine of North Bay was arrested and charged with one count of conspiracy to commit the indictable offence of robbery and one count of attempted robbery.
North Bay Police Service says these charges have been laid as a result of the investigation implicating her involvement in the robbery that led to the homicide. Police say Lafontaine was not the occupant of the apartment where Kamerman was shot and killed.

Lafontaine has been held in custody following her arrest. She will make her next court appearance tomorrow at the North Bay Courthouse.

Detective Sergeant Warner of the North Bay Police Criminal Investigation Section advises the investigative team continues to conduct interviews and following up on information. The investigators
continue to seek any information regarding the activities of the accused Ryan Abraham and Taylor Briscoe in the aftermath of the homicide and are particularly interested in Ryan Abraham’s method of travel to the London area (where he was later arrested).
