Representatives from the City of North Bay and Invest North Bay will be meeting with business-minded expats who are living in the GTA at the end of the month, and later this year in Ottawa.
The idea, says Mark Deacon, who moved back to Northern Ontario with his family 11 years ago, is to remind family-oriented young professionals what North Bay has to offer. Deacon says when he and his partner settled down in North Bay to raise their children, they looked around at the natural beauty, noted the power of the dollar in the north as compared to the GTA, and wondered, “Why aren’t more people doing this?”
