Cardinal TV shoot to close Main Street West Friday

Motor vehicle traffic will be prevented from driving along part of Main Street West on Friday.

The street will be closed during two parts of the day so that filming can begin on the fourth season of the TV series Cardinal.

The closure is between Ferguson and Fraser.

From 12:30pm to 5:30pm crews will be shooting around the Opera Bakery Café necessitating the first closure and then Main West will be closed again from 9:30pm Friday to 2:00am Saturday for the second half of the film shoot.

This next segment involves shooting by the alley between The Annex and Michelle’s FrameMaker and Gallery.

Although the street is closed to motor vehicle traffic, it is open to pedestrians and the stores are open for business.

The film crew also says the public can watch the filming from a distance as long as no one compromises the sets.

North Bay Police will also be on hand monitoring the shooting.

Crews say with the night-time shoot, they will do their best to keep the noise down to a minimum.
