Upcoming workshop to feature education policy expert

The NNDSB (Near North District School Board) Parent Involvement Committee welcomes stakeholders to a free education workshop in early March that can be taken in person or online.

Creating Quality Education Learning Environments is a workshop designed to explore how quality learning environments can be built and how schools that support strong relationships both inside the school and with the community, and that have a culture that encourages risk-taking, gives students a real voice and ensures that all students have opportunities to learn.

The workshop will be led by Annie Kidder, who is a highly influential figure in Ontario and Canada as the Executive Director of People for Education. Kidder became involved in public education in Ontario in the late 1990s and has since become an expert on education policy and funding. She regularly provides advice to policy-makers and government, and her writing on education has been published in a range of media.

The NNDSB Parent Involvement Committee will be hosting the free workshop on Monday, March 4, from 6:30pm to 7:30pm.
