Shortly after 5:30am, police responded to a residence on Wigston Drive. The accused was in the residence, attempting to steal property when he was confronted by the owner. The accused left the scene but was apprehended by police a short distance away.

Police say they secured evidence to link the two break-ins.

The accused was later released from custody and will appear in court in North Bay on March 26 to answer to the charges.
