Weather conditions deemed ‘unsafe’ for Canada Post delivery

A release has been issued by Canada Post, announcing the interruption of all mail delivery in Northern Ontario, including North Bay and area, effective immediately.

From the Canada Post media release: “In light of the severe weather conditions in Northern Ontario, it is not safe to deliver mail today. Delivery will resume once conditions improve and it is safe to do so. We encourage customers to clear the snow and ice from their walkways, stairs, and driveways, to ensure safe access to the front door for both their visitors, as well as their mail carriers, when service resumes.”

The release continues with: “A Red Alert means we are suspending delivery for the day and not sending our delivery agents out as the weather conditions have made it unsafe.”
