City crews work around the clock to restore water pressure

Kudos to City of North Bay workers who have persevered through some extremely challenging conditions this winter.

Crews worked for 21 hours until 4:00am this morning to locate and repair the broken 16-inch water main off Memorial Drive that left residents with little to no water pressure as far as Thibeault Terrace and the south end of West Ferris.

The overflowing water from the break has left an icy mess in the area surrounding the bridge off Stanley Street and it appears the Oak Street pedestrian tunnel will be out of use for some time.
