North Bay police find $300,000 in drugs in vehicle passing through town

North Bay police have seized 115 pounds of marijuana worth $300,000 from a vehicle on Highway 11.

Sunday’s seizure came while the vehicle was on the highway within the city limits.

Police also confiscated $2,450 in Canadian money.

Police stopped the vehicle as part of an investigation.

A 53-year-old Caledonia man is charged with possession for the purpose of distributing cannabis and possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime.

The accused was southbound in the vehicle when it was stopped.
