Dave Bennett, vice-chair for last year’s Ford World Women’s Curling Championship announces the event is a finalist for a Canadian Sports Tourism award.
North Bay will vie along with the 106th Grey Cup and 2018 Grey Cup Festival, in Edmonton and the 2018 Canadian Tire National Skating Championships, held in Vancouver for the Canadian Sports Tourism Awards Event of the Year (with a budget greater than $1 million).
The awards luncheon is Wednesday at the Westin Hotel in Ottawa.
