Infrastructure is key to the future of sports tourism

City of North Bay Sports Tourism Coordinator Larry Tougas envisions big things for the city over the next five to 10 years.

After a couple of dozen OFSAA tournaments, the 2018 Ford World Women’s Curling Championship,  the recent provincial ringette tournament, and the Pinty’s Grand Slam of Curling this fall — many of which are million dollar economic spinoff events — Tougas says the best way to take the next step in sports tourism is to invest and expand our infrastructure.
