Arrest made in North Bay motel robbery

Two North Bay men face several charges connected with a robbery late last year at a motel in the community.

North Bay police say a man was staying at a motel along with friends when two men showed up with firearms.

The guest was robbed of some money and one of the friends received minor injuries during an assault.

The robbery took place in November but the man didn’t report the incident to local police until January 21st.

Police began looking into the matter and after an extensive investigation arrested two men this week.

The men are 29 and 26 and each is charged with robbery with a firearm and three counts of forcible confinement.

The older man is also looking at a charge of disguise with intent to commit an offence.

Additionally, the 26-year-old faces two counts of breaching a firearm prohibition order.
