North Bay police nab their man by following footprints made in fresh snow

North Bay police can thank Mother Nature for helping them catch someone who had gotten into a parked vehicle overnight and stole several items.

The Widdifield area homeowner saw someone in his vehicle around 3:00am Friday and called police.

When police arrived the individual was gone.

But today’s fresh snowfall made it easy to follow a set of tracks to the Ski Club Road area where police arrested a 33-year-old North Bay man.

During the arrest, police recovered several items that were in the vehicle.

The man is charged with theft and the investigation continues.
