Concerned community members will hold a Rally for a Respectful Canadore Workplace today at 4:00pm at the intersection of College Drive and Monastery Road.
Participants have been, and continue to, insist that Canadore College’s administration place the senior executive at the centre of an investigation into reports of long-running improper workplace conduct on paid leave, so he is not allowed on campus until its conclusion.
Organizers say, “Over 50 members of the Canadore community have made serious allegations about a senior executive at Canadore. The investigation is being compromised by the ongoing presence on campus of the senior executive at the centre of the investigation.
“Employees are reporting feeling afraid to be near the person in question and that they fear retribution for having shared their experiences. Failure to follow best practices in the investigation will cast a cloud over any findings produced by the investigation and could do permanent harm to Canadore’s reputation.”
