(pixabay.com) Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement in effect for: North Bay – Powassan – Mattawa West Nipissing – French River Significant rainfall possible today. Freezing rain will change to rain this morning before ending by late afternoon. Isolated thunderstorms are also expected mainly this morning. Significant rainfall amounts of 15 to 25 millimetres are possible, especially in areas that see a thunderstorm. Local ponding on streets and low lying areas is possible. For information concerning flooding, please consult your local Conservation Authority or Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry District Office.
