The Highway 17 closure between Mattawa and Deep River is now in its second day with the OPP saying the flooding and washout atĀ Bissett Creek will cause the road linking North Bay and Ottawa to “remain closed for an extended period of time.”

North Bay OPP reports ticketing several drivers who ignored the signs and drove on the closed portion of Highway 17.
