Gas prices jump an average of 17 cents in North Bay

Prices at the pump are back up again, with some outlets approaching $1.38 per litre.

According to GasBuddy.com, prices are up 17 cents over yesterday’s average and 18.3 cents over the average in March.

Following the implementation of the federal carbon tax on April 1 and its increase of 4.4 cents per litre, the price of fuel is up 11.1 cents over this time last year.

The average price of gas in Ontario is $1.28 per litre, up 15.3 cents over March.

While most gas stations in North Bay are at 132.5 or above, fuel can still be bought under $1.23 along Highway 17 west of the city.
