King officially announces Tory candidacy for Nipissing-Timiskaming riding

The Conservatives will have an election to see who represents the party in Nipissing-Timiskaming in the October 25th federal election.

North Bay city councillor and businessman Mark King has ended months of speculation and has confirmed he is seeking the riding nomination.

King is going up against Callander town councillor Jordy Carr for the nomination.

King says he brings a significant amount of municipal and public sector board experience to the table.

King says a nomination meeting to select the candidate will take place between June 13th and 25th.

King says the nomination meeting will take place in North Bay.

However, to accommodate card-carrying Tory members who live in the Timiskaming part of the riding, the riding executive has discussed the possibility of holding a second nomination meeting, perhaps in New Liskeard.
