There are some big changes coming to the Downtown Community Improvement Plan. Right now North Bay City Hall will help pay up to $15,000 for a business to improve its exterior. That amount is going up to $30,000. Also the grant program is being expanded to include interior work. Since its inception, the improvement program has granted more than $860,000 toward 83 projects. Over that time frame the downtown has seen $5 million in private investment to improve downtown buildings.
