Nipissing University Student Union (NUSU) Director of Communications Sarah McGowan and Charlotte Foster, VP Advocacy & Awareness address the panel at a town hall meeting on the future of the taxi industry in North Bay.
The NUSU representatives say safety is paramount in any vehicle-for-hire scenario for both students and the general public. The two touch on costs, views expressed by nearly 700 respondents to an online survey by Nipissing students, and health concerns for students allergic to tobacco smoke when using taxi services outside of transit hours.
