Target closing all stores in Canada, including North Bay…

Target is closing all of its stores in Canada. They have 133 stores across the country, and employ 17,600 people. Most of those employees will be compensated with 16 weeks’ pay including wages and benefits coverage. The department store chain recently reported over 2.1 billion dollars in losses, and said it couldn’t become profitable until at least 2021.

The Target in North Bay opened in July 2013. One-hundred and fifty employees were hired at that time.
